Two pedestrian bridges have been installed at Gulf State Park. Designed to ADA standards for accessibility, these new connections will provide safe and comfortable passage for all park visitors as they move between the beaches and the rest of the park. The bridges were also designed with wildlife in mind as well. Working with US Fish and Wildlife, all lighting on the bridges is turtle friendly and will not interfere with their natural patterns.

The West Pedestrian Bridge connecting the Fishing and Education Pier to the Picnic Area is now open for everyone’s enjoyment and use! The East Pedestrian Bridge connecting the Interpretive Center and Beach Pavilion to the Campground will open with the Interpretive Center in summer 2018.
